If an SMD LED light keeps flickering, what is the problem?

There are likely two possible scenarios for this issue:

1. Are your power plug and socket compatible, and are you certain they are functioning correctly? Please try replacing the plug or socket to verify that the power supply is stable.

2. If the "flickering" persists, the issue is likely with the power driver. It is possible that the driver's output voltage does not match the specific driving voltage required by your LED strip (you can test for compatibility or check the voltage specifications for your LED strip). Alternatively, the internal components of the power driver may be damaged; please try replacing it with a compatible power driver.

Note: If your LED strip is connected directly to a 220V AC mains supply and this issue occurs, it is almost certainly due to a failure in the internal AC-to-DC converter located within the high-voltage plug.

SMD LED strips require a constant-voltage DC power supply.

If paired with an AC transformer, the lights will flicker.

SMD LEDs (Surface Mount Device LEDs)—also referred to as "surface-mount light-emitting diodes"—are packaged in a specific format to facilitate automated assembly using pick-and-place machines during manufacturing.

Common models include 0402, 0603, 0805, 1206, 3528, 3020, 5050, 3014, 5730, and others.

Precautions for Handling SMD LEDs:

1. Cleaning: Do not use unidentified chemical liquids to clean SMD LEDs, as such liquids may cause damage. If cleaning is necessary, immerse the SMD LEDs in alcohol for less than one minute at normal room temperature, allow them to air-dry naturally for 15 minutes, and only then proceed to use them.

2. Moisture Protection: To prevent the product from absorbing moisture during shipping and storage, SMD LEDs are packaged in moisture-proof aluminum foil bags. These bags contain both a desiccant (drying agent) and a humidity indicator card; the desiccant serves to control the humidity level inside the bag, while the humidity indicator card allows for the monitoring of that internal humidity level. 3. Storage: After sealing, the packaging bags should be stored under conditions where the temperature is below 40°C.
